Butterfly Pea, Blueberry, and Marshmallow Root Iced Tea

Visually stunning blue iced tea created by combining butterfly pea flower tea, marshmallow root tea, and fresh blueberries.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butterfly pea flower
  • 1/2 cup marshmallow root
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • Honey or sweetener of choice to taste
  • Ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Cold Infuse the Tea: In a mason jar or pitcher, add the butterfly pea flowers and marshmallow root to 2 cups of cold water. Cover and place in the refrigerator overnight (at least 8-10 hours).
  • Strain & Prep the Glass: Strain the tea using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
  • In a glass, muddle the fresh blueberries at the bottom to release their juices.
  • Assemble & Serve: Pour the cold-infused tea over the muddled blueberries.
  • Garnish with additional blueberries and optional fresh mint.
  • Enjoy! Serve as is for a deep blue tea, or add a squeeze of lemon juice for a magical color change!

Notes

If you add lemon juice to this iced tea for added flavor, it will turn purple!
