Iced tea drinkers, I hope you love these recipes as much as I do! I’ll be honest, in the past I would usually booze it up for the 4th of July, but as I get older… I can’t hold my own. It’s hot. I need to hydrate when hosting people for a party. These iced teas will be the perfect solution to keep me hydrated while still getting to enjoy a unique beverage with complex flavors (though I might still spike them… just a little bit).

Okay. So, none of these are true tea because they do not use tea leaves, but other herbs instead. The correct term is actually tisane… but I am going to call it tea anyways. If you want to know more, I actually have a post about all the ways to brew herbal teas.

Independence Day Herbal Iced Tea FAQS

Answer: Yes, you can make these teas in advance and store them in the refrigerator. It’s actually a great idea to prepare them ahead of time to allow the flavors to meld together and to have them ready for serving. Just make sure to store the teas in airtight containers or pitchers to maintain freshness.

Answer: The teas can stay fresh in the refrigerator for approximately 2-3 days. However, it’s best to consume them within the first 24 hours for optimal taste and flavor. If you plan to store them longer, make sure to taste and inspect the teas before serving to ensure they haven’t lost their freshness.

Answer: Absolutely! You can experiment with additional herbs or flavors to customize the taste of these teas. For example, you can add a sprig of mint or basil leaves to the Strawberry Hibiscus Iced Tea for a refreshing twist.
